What You’ll Do:

ADT is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to act as a change catalyst, evolving our SRE practice and championing comprehensive observability across our product portfolio.   • Drive SRE Transformation: Design, implement, and embed core SRE principles and practices, laying the groundwork for our entire SRE function. This includes establishing incident management processes and playbooks, defining and maintaining Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for critical systems.
  • Lead Observability for Products: Spearhead the strategy, implementation, and adoption of robust monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions (e.g., Dynatrace or Datadog) to provide deep, proactive insights into the health and performance of our product platform and services.
  • Build & Mentor a High-Performing Team: Attract, mentor, and grow a team of talented SREs, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and ownership.
  • Drive Automation & Efficiency: Champion the adoption of automation and self-healing systems, primarily within our GCP and AWS cloud platforms.
  • Champion Data-Driven Reliability: Cultivate a data-driven approach to reliability, leveraging metrics and analytics to continuously identify areas for improvement and drive proactive solutions.
  • Integrate Reliability Across the Lifecycle: Partner closely with development, operations, security, and product teams to ensure reliability is a core consideration throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
  • Lead Incident Response: Oversee incident response efforts for critical service outages, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven Experience as a Change Agent: A track record of successfully initiating and leading significant organizational or technical transformations, ideally in an SRE or similar reliability-focused capacity.
  • Deep SRE Expertise (8+ years): Extensive experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related operations roles , with a deep understanding of SRE principles and practices.
  • Leadership in Observability: Demonstrated success in leading the implementation and maturation of comprehensive observability solutions. Experience with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, etc.
  • Management & Team Building (3+ years): At least 3 years of experience in a management or leadership role, specifically leading and building SRE teams.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go, etc.) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet).
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
    • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
    • Knowledge of networking, security, and database technologies.
  • Education: A four (4) year degree or equivalent experience.

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this role is $140,800 – $211,200 and is based on experience and qualifications.

Certain roles are eligible for annual bonus and may include equity. These awards are allocated based on company and individual performance.

Employees accrue up to 120 hours in their first year. Your accrual rate increases after your first year. We also offer 6 paid holidays.
